Designed & constructed by husband & wife team, Emma Young & Peter Ho from PHOOEY Architects, this small central powder room is a gem! Crafted from totally recycled materials it is a demonstration of thrifty ingenuity. Walls are clad in leftover pieces of plywood from earlier renovations to the house. Installed as they came, the plywood fragments create a patchwork of texture, interdispersed with mirrors sourced from the local op shop. The fittings were recycled from the relocation of the existing bathroom, & even the gold paint on the walls was left over from an earlier job. The result is a light-filled geometric vision with glimpses of reflected garden views.
