Moonee Ponds Activity Centre
These investigations were conducted in conjunction with Site Office Landscape Architecture & on behalf of Moonee Valley City Council.
Their purpose was to demonstrate a variety of architectural opportunities relating to the potential location of laneway connections & public spaces.
A diversity of new & modified building developments were explored, set within three unique existing streetscapes. Each study identified opportunities & constraints associated with existing built features, building scale, setback, form & potential use.
The final options for each site emphasise their unique & varied responses to each of their existing built environments.
These buildings could accommodate a strategic combination of commercial, council and community facilities. They each promote unique development opportunities & gateway connections between Puckle and Hall Streets. Together, they promote a new type of public place for the Moonee Ponds Activity Centre.
