This existing double storey house is an interwar Arts & Crafts bungalow featuring a single gable roof that disguises the upper floor within its dominant form. The upper level is only revealed by small dormer windows each side.
The house is located in an established residential area in Hawthorn notable for a wide range of period mansion house styles including several significant heritage listed buildings.
The brief was to rejuvenate, update & expand the existing dwelling, reconciling heritage values with the needs of a contemporary family. The scope included significant & bespoke fit-out works, a new endless edge swimming pool & cabana over a 5 car garage.
Practical Completion is expected at the end of 2012.
