Tait Street House
Alterations & additions to an already beautiful Fitzroy North house renovated in 2001 by David Faggetter Architects.
The extensions sensitively merge with the existing house, significantly improve its thermal envelope & welcome sunlight into a previously dark Kitchen.
Two courtyard gardens, a beautiful open plan living area & the significant heritage front-of-house were all respectfully retained.
The new house now comfortably accommodates a large family comprising four energetic kids, one dog and at least 6 bicycles.
The house & rear courtyard welcome neighbourhood connection via the adjacent linear park.
In the words of the Owners:
“We are thrilled with our new house and are very thankful for your expertise, support, guidance, friendship and patience throughout the whole project.
We are looking forward to being able to open it up and show everyone your beautiful work.”
